Exactly one year ago Milestone Rome went on line and today we are proud to celebrate the first anniversary of our cultural project with the launch of HackRome, a new space where to freely ask questions about Rome, find the right answers and to communicate with other enthusiasts who share the same passion for the Eternal City.
We’ve always imagined Milestone Rome website as “a connecting hub at which all curious travelers could address in order to find new ways to explore Rome and deeply live unique fruition experiences relating to its culture and beauty”.
Since we launched our cultural project, we’ve received appreciation and support for our efforts and, above all, so much interest and curiosity from many enthusiasts who have chosen to ask their questions about Rome’s art and history to us. We’ve been happy to help and we’ve actually learned how important is for Rome lovers who are not Italian the need of specific and accurate information about the cultural heritage of Rome and the most authentic way of enjoying it, both on the web and in real life.
What is HackRome
For Milestone Rome’s first anniversary we would like therefore to thank our readers providing our website with a new functionality: HackRome. The aim of HackRome is to help our readers to find the right answer to various questions about Rome, making the reliable knowledge of the Milestone Rome team of Italian local experts available to every curious, and to encourage meaningful exchanges between passionate people about cultural topics, such as: practical info on visiting sites of interest, museums, events and exhibitions in Rome as well as Roman history, arts and culture, etc. This is the main page of HackRome, already filled with some sample questions that have been mostly posed to us throughout the year.
Our new community of milers
Everyone can read the questions and answers which will be submitted and promptly approved by us on HackRome, as well as share and embed interesting questions through the appropriate buttons. However, only who has registered on this website can ask questions, answer to the questions posted by others and subscribe to interesting threads, besides having a personal profile where it is possible to present oneself.
In this way, we eventually believe in the creation of a lively community where true knowledge, experiences and thoughts can be freely shared between the world citizens, open-minded travelers who have the same genuine passion for Rome art and Italian culture and whom we’d love to call “milers”.
